City and Guilds ‘Medium Risk’ Confined Space Training 6160-09 (Entrant / Top Man) Previously 6160-02
This ‘Medium Risk’ confined spaces training is for any candidate that might work in any of the following (this list is not exhaustive),
- Tanks
- Silos
- Sewers
- Vats
As well as any environment that could be considered a confined space. It ensures that not only individual workers, managers, supervisors and rescuers have adequate training. Plus any candidate who may need access confined spaces to assess, oversee, or sign off completed work as well as being suitable for anyone who may need to enter or work in confined spaces.
This qualification ensures your business meets the Confined Space Regulations 1997.
All courses include both theory and practical training. Infratec UK Ltd use a specialist simulator and equipment during the courses. All instructors are very experienced, highly skilled, fully qualified and certified.

Level 2 Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces 6160-09
Anyone who may need to enter confined space safely in order to assess or manage work to be carried out. Anyone who may be required to sign off on work conducted in confined spaces.
- Physical exertion will be required therefore candidates need a good level of health and fitness
- Candidates should not suffer from claustrophobia and / or nyctophobia (fear of small spaces or darkness)
- Candidates will need to sign a medical form prior to the start of the course.
Recertification for this course is required encouraged every 3 years, candidates will should retrain within a 3 year period to maintain their competencies, update skills and knowledge.
