This course is a qualification for all those who are required to work, as part of their main job, who may be required to make an emergency evacuation from a confined space using escape breathing apparatus, enter into confined space with full working breathing apparatus to carry out a variety of work activities or carry out basic first aid.

 

Training is undertaken within regulation guidelines and once completed, learners should have gained enough knowledge to pass the assessment and enter high risk confined spaces.

 

Participants will take part in both practical and theoretical training. Our instructors are highly qualified, and experienced, to help ensure that you receive the correct training.

 

To be eligible for this course learners must be physically fit and must have completed either of the following City & Guilds courses:

  • Anybody that works in confined spaces such as tanks and silos, vats or reaction vessels, can benefit from this training. Supervisors and Managers would also require this training as they may be required to check, supervise or assist the work that is conducted.

    This high risk course is a prerequisite to the Rescue and Recovery of Casualties training course, it also includes training on the use of breathing apparatus.

    The Recovery of Casualties training course duration is 2 days and includes both written and practical assessment. The course is valid for 3 years, which means that any participants will need to retrain again at the end of this time period.
