This course is suitable for:

• Operatives who currently hold or have recently held City & Guilds 6160-03
• Experienced high risk confined space entrants
• Personnel working in environments requiring complex entry procedures
• Individuals using breathing apparatus (where applicable to role)
• Employers seeking requalfication for competent operational staff. 

This course is not suitable for inexperienced personnel or those lacking recent high risk confined space exposure. 

If additional training is required, candidates should attend the full High Risk course instead. 

Upon successful completion, candidates will achieve:

City & Guilds 6160-03 - Level 2 Award in Working in High Risk Confined Spaces

Certification is subject to successful completion of both:

• Knowledge assessment
• Practical performance assessment

All assessments are conducted in accordance with City & Guilds requirements and are subject to external quality assurance.

  Assessor Questioning

  Oral questioning may be used to confirm underpinning knowledge where required.

• Interpretation of risk assessments and permits

• Equipment inspection and setup

• Gas monitor use and atmospheric testing

• Entry procedures

• Communication protocols

• Emergency response and withdrawal

• Team coordination in high risk scenarios

• Use of breathing apparatus (where applicable)

Practical Assessment: 11:00 - 15:30
