This Confined Space Rescue Refresher provides an accelerated requalification assessment route for experienced rescue personnel requiring renewal of their certification under the City & Guilds 6160-08 – Working as a Member of a Rescue and Recovery Team in Confined Spaces.
This is an assessment-only course for competent, operational rescue team members who do not require full retraining.
Candidates will complete the official City & Guilds knowledge assessment and undertake full practical assessment against all published performance criteria.
No classroom teaching or revision session is delivered during this course. Attendance is based entirely on existing rescue competence and operational experience.
Successful candidates will be awarded the full City & Guilds 6160-08 qualification.

This refresher is suitable for:

Rescue team members currently holding or recently holding 6160-08

Personnel who have completed 6160-03

Personnel forming part of confined space emergency response teams

High risk confined space operatives with designated rescue duties

Employers maintaining compliant in-house rescue capability
This course is not suitable for inexperienced personnel or those without recent practical rescue exposure.
Candidates who require further instruction should attend the full Rescue & Recovery course.
