Successful candidates will achieve:

Standard Bundle

City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Working in High Risk Confined Spaces – 6160-03

and

City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Working as a Member of a Rescue and Recovery Team in Confined Spaces – 6160-08

The 6160-03 qualification covers working within high-risk confined spaces, including entry and exit, breathing apparatus, equipment, monitoring, safe working procedures and emergency arrangements.

The 6160-08 qualification develops the additional skills required to operate as a member of a confined space rescue and recovery team, including emergency entry, casualty recovery, rescue equipment and safe rescue procedures.

Entry Controller Option

Candidates can also add:

City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Control Entry and Arrangements for Confined Spaces (High Risk) – 6160-04

This qualification covers the role of the Entry Controller / Top Person, including controlling safe entry and exit, monitoring confined space operations, maintaining communications and records, and initiating and controlling emergency procedures.

Candidates selecting this option will therefore achieve three separate City & Guilds confined space qualifications: 6160-03, 6160-04 and 6160-08.

The five-day programme combines theoretical learning with extensive practical confined space and rescue training.
