A confined space is any area that is large enough for a person to enter and perform work but has limited means of entry or exit and is not designed for continuous occupancy.   • Is face fit testing a legal requirement?
    Yes. The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations require that anyone using tight-fitting RPE in the workplace must undergo a Face Fit Test to ensure the mask provides adequate protection.
  • What types of face fit testing do you offer?
    We provide mandatory fit tests for tight-fitting face-pieces, including but not limited to: - Disposable (Filtering face-piece) FFP2, FFP3 - Half-face reusable - Full-face reusable
  • Who needs to undergo a face fit test?
    Any employee required to wear tight-fitting RPE as part of their job should undergo a face fit test. This includes workers in industries such as construction, manufacturing, waste management, chemical handling, and confined space entry.
  • Do you provide masks or do we need to bring our own?
    We recommend brining your own mask to ensure the test is done one the RPE you'll actually use. We can supply a range of masks if you need/
  • Can you carry out face fit testing on-site?
    Yes. We offer on-site face fit testing for businesses, ideal for testing multiple employees in one session with minimal disruption.
  • What do I need to bring to the test?
    You should bring the exact make, model and size of the mask you will use in your job role. Testing myst be done on the specific mask work during work.
  • Can I be tested while wearing a beard or stubble?
    No. Tight-fitting masks must not be used with facial hair that affects the seal. To pass the test and maintain protection, wearers must be clean-shaven in the mask seal area.
  • How long does a face fit test take?
    A typical Quantitive face fit test takes around 20-30 minutes per person
  • What is face fit testing?
    Face fit testing ensures that tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment (RPE) forms an effective seal on the wearer's face, providing proper protection against hazardous substances like dust, fumes, vapours or airborne contaminants.
  • What topics are covered in the fire safety training?
    Our fire safety training covers various topics, including the nature and causes of fire, fire prevention measures, fire classifications and extinguisher types, emergency evacuation procedures, fire warden responsibilities, and identifying fire risks in the workplace.
  • Where is the fire safety training delivered?
    We deliver fire safety training on-site at your premises or at our training centre in Middlesbrough.
  • Is the training accredited?
    Yes. Our Fire Safety Training is accredited with Qualsafe.
  • How long does the training take?
    Fire Awareness - Typically 3 hours Fire Warden and Marshal - 1 Day
  • Do trainees receive a certificate?
    Yes. All delegates receive a certificate who pass the course. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
  • Who should attend fire safety training?
    Our courses are suitable for: - All employees as part of mandatory fire safety awareness - Designated Fire Wardens / Fire Marshals - Managers and supervisors responsible for workplace safety - Anyone involved in creating or implementing fire evacuation procedures

    We can train groups of up to 12 people per session. Larger teams can be split into multiple groups.
  • Is practical fire extinguisher use included?
    Yes. Where required, we include hands-on fire extinguisher training, using live-fire scenarios with our fire simulator. We believe training with live controlled fires is the best way to learn how to use an extinguisher.

    Yes. We provide all necessary materials, including manikins, AED trainers, first aid kits, dressings, course handbooks, and other resources.

    Yes. Our first aid courses are accredited by Qualsafe, a recognised awarding body regulated by Ofqual.
  • How long is the certificate valid for?
    - Emergency First Aid at Work & First Aid at Work certificates are valid for 3 years - Refresher training is recommended annually to maintain skills
  • What's the difference between EFAW and FAW?
    EFAW (1 day): Covers essential life-saving skills for low-risk workplaces FAW (3 days): More comprehensive, covering a wider range of conditions and workplace risks
  • Do I need any previous training or experience?
    No prior experience is required. All courses start with the basics and build up your knowledge and confidence step by step.

    Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate valid for 3 years, issued by City & Guilds or IIRSM, depending on the course. The Manage Confined Spaces certification is valid for life.
